Pixel maps show where the parcel is greener, weaker, wetter or drier on that day. They describe the parcel; they are not compared with a normal and are not validated. Inter-rows and soil count too.
Zones: each pixel minus the median of the same parcel on the same day. This shows weaker and stronger parts of the parcel without comparing years, so small shifts of the satellite image between years do not matter. Pixels within 10 m of the edge are left out (they mix with roads and neighbouring fields). Descriptive, not validated.
Whole-parcel value against the same parcel in the previous five years (same time of year, same orbit), as a z-score. −1 or lower counts as “below its own normal”; by construction about 1 scene in 6 lands there even in an ordinary year.
Status: confirmed / not confirmed — a test registered in advance with a pass criterion; checked — compared with measurements, no pass threshold; descriptive — measured, no pass criterion; experimental — computed, not drawn on the map; not validated — nothing to check it against.
